Interview with the architect

Who am I:

I am the founding member of eightsixthree architects and interiors, and obtained my Bachelor of Arts Degree, Post Graduate Diploma in Architecture, and my RIBA

Part 3 from the University of Westminster (London).

I have in the past worked with the architectural practices of the late Zaha Hadid and Sir Norman Foster and Partners (London, Tokyo and Hong Kong offices).

In 1992 I came to Hong Kong with Foster Associates, to set up the Foster Asia offices and secure work for the company.

After leaving Fosters in late 1994 I worked for Aedas (formely known as Liang Peddle Thorp), Woods Bagot, Wong Tung and Partners and lastly Atelier Pacific prior to establishing eightsixthree in June 2006.

Who we are:

eightsixthree is an award winning design studio based in Hong Kong.

Our design approach is simple. We have no house style.

We are sensitive to each project situation, and create designs that are tailored to suit your needs and aspirations.

We believe a clearly defined problem declares its own solution. Only after we are fully conversant with your needs do we commence the design.

What we do:

At eightsixthree architects and interior designers work with project managers and urban planners, tackling projects as big as 600,000sqm or as small as 45sqm.

We are a flexible team, a strategy that allows appropriate talents to be assigned effectively to each project, be it architectural, interior design, executive architects or project managers.

With over 220 projects completed in the last ten years, we believe our client list speaks for itself.
